The BiH Prosecutor's Office has filed an indictment against Edhem Žilić for war crimes against the civilian population committed in the Konjic area, BIRN reported, as conveyed by Patria.
Žilić is accused of, as a member of the 4th Military Police Battalion of the Army of BiH (ABiH), personally committing, ordering, enabling, and failing to prevent inhumane treatment of prisoners of Croat and Serb nationalities who were held in the "Musala" sports hall.
According to the indictment, from May to October 1993, Žilić allowed guards to treat prisoners inhumanely, and allowed unauthorized entry into the prison by individuals who beat the prisoners and committed other inhumane acts.
The BiH Prosecutor's Office believes that Žilić repeatedly beat prisoners with various objects and abused them during forced labor.
The indictment has been forwarded for confirmation to the BiH Court, writes NAP.
