
(Patria) - A prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH has filed an indictment against Celestino Froner, born in 1973 in Trento, Italy, a citizen of the Republic of Italy, who is in custody.
The accused is charged with, at the Izačić border crossing on February 5 this year, in the period after midnight, while driving his motor vehicle, evading border control by authorized officers of the Border Police of BiH JGP Izačić, and then attacking them, inflicting bodily injuries to the arm area of a Border Police officer, after which he was deprived of his liberty.
The injured police officer received medical assistance at the hospital in Bihać.
The accused is charged with physically injuring an official person in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e., a border police officer in the performance of his duties related to the security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, thereby committing the criminal offense of Assault on an Official Person in the Performance of Security Duties, Detection or Deprivation of Liberty of Perpetrators of Criminal Offenses under Article 241b of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The indictment has been forwarded for confirmation to the Court of BiH.
