Under the Spotlight: Election Day in Stolac Began Without Issues

Observers of the Coalition "Under the Spotlight" had unimpeded access to polling stations in the municipality of Stolac, where repeated local elections are being held today. Election day in the municipality of Stolac began in accordance with the Election Law of BiH at all 20 polling stations, the Coalition announced, Patria reports.

Observers reported that all members of the polling station committees were present at the polling stations at 6:00 AM, as required by regulations. Seventeen polling stations opened at 7:00 AM, and three polling stations opened with a slight delay of up to 10 minutes.

No shortage of election material was recorded at any polling station, and at all observed polling stations, the ballot box was shown to be empty before the polling station opened. Also, no markings of political entities were observed at the polling station or within a 50-meter radius around the polling station.

The repeated elections in the municipality of Stolac are being held due to the interruption of the election process on October 2, 2016, at 17 out of 19 regular polling stations. 11,404 voters have the right to vote.
