Annual leave begins, check your vehicle and road conditions before setting off

(Patria) - The beginning of this work week will be used by many to go on annual leave, so BIHAMK urges drivers to be maximally careful and maintain distance between vehicles.

High daily temperatures are announced for today, so take more frequent breaks during long journeys.

For those of you who are still planning to travel, our advice is to check the condition of your vehicle and ensure you have all the necessary documentation for yourself and your vehicle before setting off. Inform yourself in advance about the road and border crossing conditions.

Due to rehabilitation works on the Gorica bridge, the left tube of the 1st March tunnel on the A-1 Zenica-Sarajevo highway section is closed to traffic, and vehicles are driving in both directions through the right tunnel tube.

Due to works on the bridge in Ilidža (M-17 Stup-Blažuj), traffic is suspended and diverted through the settlement of Lužani every day (except Sunday) between 06:00 and 15:00. From 15:00 to 06:00, traffic from the direction of Blažuj is diverted through the settlement of Lužani, while traffic from the direction of Ilidža uses the bridge (one lane on the bridge is operational).

Traffic is slower due to works during the day on the main roads: Srbljani-Bosanska Krupa, Lašva-Kaonik, Travnik-Vitez, Šićki Brod-Lukavac, Bijeljina-Šepak, Čitluk-Ljubuški, Bihać-Kamenica, Livno-Šuica and Ripač-Dubovsko, as well as at the entrance to Bugojno (from the direction of Rostovo).

Due to road subsidence at the entrance to Vinac from the direction of Donji Vakuf (M-5/16 Donji Vakuf-Jajce), only one lane is operational, and the speed is limited to 20 km/h.

On the regional road section from Ravno towards the main road Ljubinje-Trebinje (M-6), traffic is suspended and diverted to alternative routes.

Due to rehabilitation works, the bridge at the entrance to Nemila (junction M-17 with R-473) is closed, and vehicles are using the intersection in Topčić Polje.

Long queues of vehicles are present at the Velika Kladuša and Bosanska Gradiška border crossings for exit from Bosnia and Herzegovina. At other border crossings, passenger vehicle traffic is currently proceeding with delays of 10 to 30 minutes.

We note that from today, international passenger traffic is no longer permitted at the Hadžin Potok-Bogovolja border crossing, only border traffic. At the same time, from today, the border crossings of Duži-Imotica, Čitluk-Jovića Most, Drinovci-Sebišna and Drinovačko Brdo-Slivno are opened for international passenger traffic.
