Citizen vigils begin in front of the General Hospital

Two-day vigils begin today in front of the General Hospital "Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakaš", and citizens have organized to prevent the closure of the hospital with a 150-year tradition, writes the BH News Agency Patria.

Dozens of posters have been put up around the city, calling on citizens to come in large numbers.

The first shift of the vigil is from 11 AM to 1 PM, and the second from 4 PM to 6 PM.

- The goal of the action WE WON'T GIVE UP OUR HOSPITAL! is to save the General Hospital in Sarajevo, which they are closing to seize the building and use it as a private property. For us, this is not just a symbolic loss - it will mean a reduction in already insufficient hospital capacities and even longer waiting lists for examinations and therapies.

We want to help doctors, medical technicians, all staff of the General Hospital to resist this assault by the powerful from the ruling parties, led by the family clan at the top of SDA.
