Renovation of facade and replacement of windows begins at the Secondary School of Agriculture, Food, Veterinary and Service Activities

(Patria) - The Mayor of Stari Grad Sarajevo Municipality Irfan Čengić signed today the Contract for the execution of works on the renovation of the facade and replacement of external windows at the Public Institution Secondary School of Agriculture, Food, Veterinary and Service Activities Sarajevo, together with Mayor Benjamina Karić, Minister Naida Hota-Muminović and the contractors NEIMARI d.o.o. Sarajevo.

The total value of the contract is around two million KM.

“This year, around 7 million KM is being invested in school facilities in our municipality. In addition to the educational process, this facility will mean a lot for the beautiful image of Sarajevo. When the reconstruction of the roadway, sidewalks and tram tracks is carried out here, and with the renovated building, this part of our city will look much more beautiful,” emphasized Mayor Čengić.

In addition to the importance of improving conditions for the educational process and energy efficiency, the renovation of this building also has aesthetic significance because it is a beautiful national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Mayor Karić pointed out that the renovation of facades in the city center is a project that the City of Sarajevo has been pursuing for the third consecutive year.

“Thanks to good cooperation with the Stari Grad Municipality and the Ministry of Education of Sarajevo Canton, we found funds, completed procedures, and plan to bring contractors into the works as early as next week. The project is very expensive, but I am sure that these funds are justified, not only for aesthetic reasons, but also for the safety of the students and staff of this school,” said Mayor Karić on this occasion.

Earlier, an Agreement on joint cooperation on this project was also signed.
