Payment of January pensions begins

(Patria) - Payment of January pensions begins Today, February 5, 2021, the payment of January pensions begins in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Federal Pension/Disability Insurance Fund (PIO/MIO) has announced that the total funds required for the payment of pensions for the month of January amount to approximately 195 million KM. The lowest pension is 382.18 KM, the guaranteed pension is 478.91 KM, and the highest is 2,174.48 KM.

With this payment, it has been exactly one year since the Federal PIO/MIO Fund has been paying pensions from the Unified Treasury Account of the Federation of BiH. The regularity of pension payments is just one of the positive results of the pension system reform implemented by the Government of the Federation of BiH, and despite all the difficulties caused by the pandemic, pension payments in the Federation of BiH are unquestionable.

Pensions are among the top payment priorities in the Budget of the Federation of BiH, and pensioners are now assured that they will receive their pensions on time (on the 5th of the month), as was previously announced by the Government of the Federation of BiH. The data on the continuous growth of average and minimum pensions in the Federation of BiH also show that the implemented pension system reform is yielding results. An analysis of official data shows that since 2015, the minimum pension in the Federation of BiH has increased by 56 KM or 17.17%, while the average pension has increased by 62 KM or 16.94%.
