Payment of child benefits and maternity allowances begins

The Ministry of Labour, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees of Sarajevo Canton informs that the payment of July financial benefits to municipal services for beneficiaries who have realized rights under the protection of families with children in Sarajevo Canton will begin today.

The Ministry has allocated funds in the amount of 2,252,617.37 KM for 22,295 beneficiaries of the right to: child benefit, compensation instead of salary for a working mother while absent from work due to pregnancy, childbirth and childcare, financial assistance during pregnancy and childbirth for a non-working mother, health care for child benefit beneficiaries, accommodation for children in preschool institutions, assistance for feeding a child up to six months and additional nutrition for a breastfeeding mother, and a one-time allowance for newborn equipment.
