Labour Force Survey of Bosnia and Herzegovina Begins

(Patria) - The Labour Force Survey begins today, conducted by the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with entity statistical institutes across the entire territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period from 8 to 21 April. The survey is conducted on a representative sample of 10,789 randomly selected households, of which 5,969 are from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 3,750 from the Republika Srpska and 1,070 from the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

The goal and purpose of the Labour Force Survey is to obtain data on the basic labour characteristics of the population in Bosnia and Herzegovina and to estimate the total labour force, in accordance with the methodological rules and principles of the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the methodological recommendations of the European Statistical Office (EUROSTAT).

The statistical institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina guarantee that, in accordance with the Law on Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Law on Personal Data Protection, the answers to the questions will be
strictly confidential, that respondents will remain completely anonymous, and they ask citizens for active cooperation in the implementation of this important activity.
