Construction of the East Stand at Grbavica to Begin on Friday, December 16

FK Željezničar informs the public that work on the construction of the east stand of Grbavica Stadium will officially begin on Friday, December 16.

After Željezničar officially received the building permit on Tuesday, December 6, the club administration made efforts to speed up the process of the building permit's finality in communication with the Novo Sarajevo Municipality, the Sarajevo Canton Development Planning Institute, and SD Željezničar. The official notification of the start of work was submitted yesterday, and by December 16, the contractor, the company Butmir d.o.o., will continue with the planned work dynamics, which include preparation and clearing of the construction site.

On this occasion, FK Željezničar was visited today by NFSBiH infrastructure, stadium and safety expert Nihad Hodžić, who met with the chief designer Mladen Gvozden, representatives of the company Butmir d.o.o., and the general secretary of FK Željezničar, Amer Duvnjak. At the joint meeting, all details of the construction of the stand, which will comply with all regulations of the European Football Federation, were confirmed once again.

We remind you that the deadline for the completion of the largest post-war project at Grbavica Stadium, the construction of the east stand with a capacity of 4,650 seats, is March 5, 2017, which means that in the spring part of the season, we will watch our Club's matches from the east stand as well.

Support for the project of building the east stand of Grbavica Stadium has also intensified among FK Željezničar fans, and to date, a total of 107 ten-year tickets have been sold.
