Investigation begins at the burnt "Škafa" facility in Ilidža

By order of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo, the investigation at the TC “Škafa” in Ilidža continues after the fire that broke out on Wednesday around 11 PM and almost completely destroyed the facility, writes the BH News Agency Patria.

The investigation is being conducted by officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, authorized court experts in fire protection and electrical engineering, and representatives of the company “Škafa” d.o.o. Sarajevo are also present at the investigation.

The facility was insured, but the goods inside the center were not. The damage is estimated at around 15 million KM, and about 40 workers employed at the facility have lost their jobs. It remains to be seen what will happen to the company itself, which also suffered millions in damages after the floods in Maglaj in May 2014.
