State coalition meeting begins in the BiH Parliament

(Patria) - The presidents of HDZ BiH, SNSD, and SDP BiH arrived at the BiH Parliamentary Assembly building around 6 PM. The meeting is expected to be attended by all presidents of the 'trojka' and coalition partners HDZ and SNSD. This meeting was convened at the initiative of Dragan Čović, president of HDZ BiH.

The president of SNSD, Milorad Dodik, arrived accompanied by Željka Cvijanović.

Before the state coalition meeting, Nermin Nikšić stated that dialogue has no alternative, and that they will talk as long as they can, but will not agree to anything that threatens anyone's rights, neither citizens nor peoples, and especially will not agree to anything that would weaken Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The demands of SNSD and HDZ BiH are known. Dodik is seeking the removal of foreign judges from the Constitutional Court of BiH, and Čović is seeking electoral reform according to HDZ's wishes, i.e., the introduction of 'legitimate representation' in the BiH Presidency.

The 'trojka' stated that they will not agree to blackmail and that there are no desires while the attack on the constitutional order continues, which SNSD and NSRs carried out by adopting the Law on Non-application of Decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH in the RS entity, thereby directly opposing the decisions of the High Representative.

Although all parties in this coalition are in favor of the European path, the implementation and adoption of necessary laws are proceeding with some difficulty.

Before entering the meeting, Dodik stated that the issue of the state minister of finance is a technical matter. He added that he had given a statement to SIPA regarding "the endangerment of the constitutional order."

"There is the Constitution of BiH, it clearly positions BiH as a country of two entities and three peoples. BiH has powers that are explicitly granted by the Constitution. What is not is the prerogative of the entities. We don't have much to discuss about that. I represent the people here. The most important thing here is to preserve minimal trust through the institutional balance established by the Dayton Peace Agreement,” said Dodik.
