Heating of the judicial institutions building in Sarajevo has begun

Acting Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton Government Muhamed Kozadra and Minister of Spatial Planning and Environmental Protection of Sarajevo Canton Zlatko Petrović, along with the management of KJKP „Toplana - Sarajevo“ d.o.o., representatives of judicial institutions and other guests, today put into operation the central heating system for the building of judicial institutions in Sarajevo, marking the completion of the project to connect the building to the central heating system, reports the Patria news agency.

KJKP „Toplane – Sarajevo“ d.o.o. began the implementation of the project to connect the building of the National Theatre and the building of judicial institutions to the central heating system at the end of March 2014.

The works on connecting the aforementioned facilities proceeded according to plan, the established dynamics, and in phases. All works on the reconstruction, replacement, or laying of new sections of the heating pipeline have been completed and included:

- complete reconstruction of the existing heating pipeline route over a length of 120 linear meters in the existing concrete channel,
- laying 130 linear meters of new heating pipeline route,
- laying 80 linear meters of new heating pipeline route, which involved laying pipes under the Čobanija bridge,
- laying 150 linear meters of new heating pipeline route from the Čobanija bridge to the judicial palace building, as well as 80 linear meters of new route within the building,
- laying 70 linear meters of new heating pipeline route from the Čobanija bridge to the National Theatre building.

In the building of judicial institutions, the reconstruction of the connection point and installation of heat meters, based on which thermal energy will be invoiced, has also been completed.

Trial operational functional testing of the central heating system has been ongoing since November 10, 2014, as a prerequisite for putting the central heating system into operation for the judicial institutions building.

For the successful performance of the thermal energy production function for the facilities being connected to the central heating system, the production of an additional 5.5 MW of thermal power from the „Zvijezda“ boiler room has been ensured.

The project to connect the judicial institutions building and the National Theatre building to the central heating system was financed by the Sarajevo Canton through the Canton Government, i.e., the Ministry of Spatial Planning and Environmental Protection, with 600 thousand KM, as well as KJKP „Toplane – Sarajevo“ d.o.o. The total investment value is 850 thousand KM.
