It has begun: Authorities are calling on people to stay home!

 

Great Britain is under snow, and many passengers have been stranded in their vehicles on highways, writes The Telegraph, reports the Patria News Agency. 

One of the cities most affected by the snowstorm is Sheffield, where a group of passengers had to spend the night in a church. Many other drivers in the city also left their vehicles in the snow.

Airports 'John Lennon' and 'Bradford International' are closed. All services to King's Cross and Paddington in London have been cancelled.

At Manchester Airport, one pilot, whose plane was trapped on a snow-covered runway for three hours, called the police because he had lost all contact with air traffic control. Another passenger plane froze while people were inside.

Authorities are calling on people to stay home, and if they must travel, to be especially careful until the weather calms down.
