Preparatory works begin on the Ilidža-Hrasnica tram line construction

(Patria) - Preparatory works have begun on the historic Ilidža – Hrasnica tram line construction project with the setting up of the construction site, announced the Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Nermin Muzur.

"This project is of exceptional importance for our local community, as well as for the Canton of Sarajevo. In the past, it was mostly used exclusively in election campaigns, but everything ended with empty talk without concrete steps and actions.

Today, we are witnessing the start of preparatory works, which began in the parking lot in the immediate vicinity of the tram turnaround in Ilidža. This is the place from where, with joint efforts with the Government of Sarajevo Canton, the KS Ministry of Transport, and the relevant minister Adnan Šteta, we will start writing history. May it be successful for us! Ilidža, home of good people," wrote Muzur.

The Ilidža – Hrasnica – Ilidža tram line will be 12.9 kilometers long, and 20 new tram stops and two turnarounds will be built on it, in Ilidža and Hrasnica.
