Plans for sale of BH Telecom and HT Mostar initiated

The Federal Government has approved the Work Program of the Privatization Agency of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the Privatization Plan for 2016. When preparing this program, the Agency was guided by the Reform Agenda for Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period 2015-2018, the Action Plan for its implementation, and the Conclusion of the Government of the Federation of BiH of 18.6.2015. Namely, when considering the Information on the application of the Decree on the exercise of authority in business companies with state capital participation within the jurisdiction of the Federation of BiH, business companies were divided into three categories. The Privatization Agency of the Federation of BiH is tasked with preparing a Privatization Plan, with proposals for models and methods of privatization for eight business companies from the third category, reports the Patria News Agency.

The Privatization Plan for companies for 2016 includes six out of eight companies:

These are Bosnalijek d.d. Sarajevo, Energopetrol d.d. Sarajevo, Energoinvest d.d. Sarajevo, Aluminij d.d. Mostar, Fabrika duhana Sarajevo d.d. Sarajevo, Sarajevo osiguranje d.d. Sarajevo, Energoinvest Comet d.d. Sarajevo and ArcelorMittal d.o.o. Zenica.

Energoinvest Comet d.d. Sarajevo and ArcelorMittal d.o.o. Zenica are not included in this plan.

Based on the Reform Agenda, the Privatization Plan for 2016 also envisages the preparation for the sale of a part of the capital of telecom operators, i.e., preparation for the eventual privatization of BH Telecom d.d. Sarajevo and HT d.d. Mostar.

At today's session, the Financial Plan of the Privatization Agency of the Federation of BiH for this year was also adopted, which envisages total revenue and capital receipts in the amount of 7,709,200 KM and total expenditures and capital outlays in the same amount.

The Privatization Agency is tasked with preparing and submitting to the Government a plan for amendments to all legal solutions related to passive sub-balance.
