SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The 2020/2021 school year began today in the BiH entity of Republika Srpska, and the government of this entity will provide non-contact thermometers for all primary and secondary schools.
The entity's Civil Protection Headquarters concluded that everything is ready for the start of the new school year.
RS Minister of Education and Culture Natalija Trivić said yesterday, after a session of the Civil Protection Headquarters, that each school will have a non-contact thermometer if any student or teacher reports having certain health issues.
"In this way, temperature would be measured at school and the school administration would coordinate with the health center," Trivić explained.
She added that the Ministry of Education and Culture will monitor the start of classes this week in cooperation with school principals in case any measures need to be adjusted.
The minister stated that extended stays for children will be operational in schools that have the conditions for it, and the maximum number of children in extended stays and kindergartens will be 20.
