(Patria) - Works on the reconstruction of the pedestrian strip in Maršala Tita Street began today – the section from the square in front of the "Sarajevo šume" building (known as "trg ispred Bičakčića") to the square of Carl Paržik at Marijin Dvor (right side).
The works are being carried out by the construction company "Mibral", and 298,075.05 KM have been allocated from the budget of the Centar Municipality for the realization of this significant infrastructural project.
"Today we started with preparatory works on setting up the construction site. We have installed a protective fence, and at the same time, we have started removing the existing asphalt layer. After that, it is planned to fill and prepare the ground for the installation of new concrete slabs. The project also includes the installation of new curbs and traffic bollards, i.e., physical barriers against illegal parking of motor vehicles," explained Jasmin Daut, site manager of the construction company "Mibral".
During the execution of the works, with the approval of the Ministry of Transport of Sarajevo Canton, there will be temporary traffic disruptions in the far-right lane of the roadway, on a section of up to 50 meters. We take this opportunity to ask citizens for their understanding and patience, as the realization of this project will result in a modern pedestrian strip in the very center of the city, according to the Centar Municipality.
