International "Summer Pediatric School" Begins

The international "XIV Summer Pediatric School", organized by the Pediatric Clinic of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo, the Pediatric Education Center (PESC) and the Institute for NIR of UKCS, began today. A large number of doctors and nurses/technicians from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region attended the official opening of the school, reports the Patria News Agency.

The professional head of the School, Director of the Pediatric Clinic, Prof. Dr. Senka Mesihović - Dinarević, points out that this year's program includes topics from the fields of neonatal intensive care, neonatology, and gastroenterology/hepatology.

- The school brings together a large number of doctors and technicians from BiH and the region, which allows us to exchange knowledge and experiences. In the last eleven years, we have managed to make great progress, because our Clinic at Jezero is equipped like all clinics in Europe and America, including exceptionally professional staff, from professors to nurses and technicians. This is best evidenced by the numerous major awards we have received from Europe, including awards from the European Society for Quality Research in London and Rome, from which we received a platinum award and a diamond" – said Prof. Dr. Mesihović - Dinarević.

The international "XIV Summer Pediatric School" will last for the next two days, and the program includes lectures by renowned experts from the region, among others.
