Second phase of Otoka - Hrasno promenade reconstruction begins

(Patria) - As part of the Otoka - Hrasno promenade reconstruction project, the Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo has begun the second phase of works on the reconstruction of the promenade on the right bank of the Miljacka River, on the section from Istiklal Mosque to the connection with the promenade in Bulevar Meše Selimovića Street.

The works are being carried out by the construction company DINALSA d.o.o. Sarajevo, and the project includes the replacement of the asphalt part of the promenade with concrete paving, and the installation of new concrete slabs with a granite and quartz finish.



Currently, the existing, damaged asphalt layer is being removed, after which new concrete slabs will be installed. The pedestrian zone will be built from concrete slabs and cubes, in two decors, and new, modern park benches, as well as waste bins, will be installed along the entire promenade.

Also, as part of the promenade reconstruction project, new LED public lighting will be installed, and a hedge will be planted along the section by the river.

Previously, as part of the Otoka - Hrasno promenade reconstruction project, the pedestrian path on the section of the left bank of the Miljacka River, from the pedestrian bridge, in Žrtava fašizma Street to the Congressmen McCloskey Bridge, was completely reconstructed with the construction of a bicycle path.
