(Patria) - The EUFOR Aviation Unit joined forces with the BiH Air Force and the police agency SIPA in a joint exercise conducted at Butmir base as part of the annual training plan. This is the first exercise of this type in which units from all three organizations participated.
Pilots from the 1st and 2nd Squadrons of the BiH Armed Forces Air Force Brigade participated in pre-flight briefings led by EUFOR Aviation Unit specialists, where tactics were presented, knowledge was exchanged, and future cooperation was strengthened.
Synchronized activities were carried out for four intensive days in Mahovljani, Rajlovac, and Butmir base, achieving an important step in multinational aviation training.
At the same time, SIPA, with the help of EUFOR helicopters, continued fast-roping and rappelling training from aircraft, improving techniques and operational skills.
The training concluded with a medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) exercise that demonstrated rapid response capabilities and outstanding teamwork among the organizations.
This exercise served to showcase helicopter capabilities, pilot skills, and further develop the interoperability needed for future medical evacuation missions.
Through such activities, EUFOR's commitment to cooperation with the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina is emphasized in order to cooperate and support stability.
