Beaches full: Not even the oldest remember bigger crowds in Neum

Not even the oldest residents of Neum remember the beaches in the only BiH coastal city being fuller than they have been in recent days, writes the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

Although just 20 days ago, due to bad weather and the holy month of Ramadan, Neum was eerily empty, it is today one of the liveliest places in this part of the Adriatic. It is almost impossible to find a spot on the beach, and you have to book a room to sleep at least seven days in advance.

Food and drinks in Neum restaurants and cafes are slightly more expensive than, for example, in Sarajevo, but apartment prices go up to 80 euros. If you are less demanding and it doesn't matter to you to be right by the coast, you can also sleep for 20 KM.

A surge of tourists in Neum is particularly expected during the weekend, when the number of guests in Neum could even double, writes NAP.
