Flood wave heading towards BiH: Danger of devastating floods

The flood wave that started from Croatia down the Sava River towards Bosnia and Herzegovina could, in the coming hours, flood Bosanska Gradiška, Srbac, Bosanski Brod..., reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

Experts warn that it is not certain that this will not happen even without additional rainfall, but if it rains again in northern Bosnia on Sunday and Monday, this part of the country will certainly be under water again.

Karlovac in Croatia is already under water, and a large flood wave will hit Sisak today. Residents, civil protection, the army, and all other available forces mobilized by the Croatian Government to defend against the water wave have been doing everything for days to contain the element that will pass through the largest river port in Croatia, but no one can guarantee that the defense will be successful.

The water wave, which is expected to pass through Sisak on Sunday, will simply continue down the Sava towards Bosnia. Given that the riverbed has already reached its critical point, experts already fear that Bosnia and Herzegovina could once again face a catastrophe, like the one in May this year, writes NAP.
