Platform for Progress soon to present new solutions for the City of Mostar

(Patria) - Mostar is the only city in Bosnia and Herzegovina where local elections were not held in 2012 and 2016, thereby depriving the citizens of this city of their fundamental democratic right.
The City of Mostar and its citizens have been hostages for years to the policy of deliberately not holding elections. This situation only benefits the two political parties that have become absolute rulers of Mostar, all to the detriment of its citizens.

Taking into account the fact that elections are not being held in Mostar, the Platform for Progress Mostar has been working intensively over the past few months on developing strategic solutions for the City of Mostar.

"We have prepared a series of proposals for holding local elections in Mostar, arriving at the best and most appropriate solutions for our fellow citizens and all those interested in the right of the people of Mostar to vote, through a pragmatic but entirely democratic approach," said Aida Kajan, President of the City Committee of the Platform for Progress Mostar.

In the coming month, members of the Platform for Progress Mostar will intensify their work on the final drafting of the document, which will be presented at a public forum in early March.

"During this period, we want to include the proposals of the citizens of Mostar in our document through direct conversations with them," Kajan added.

In this way, the Platform for Progress Mostar will open space for the wider public and give everyone the opportunity to participate in the final drafting of the strategic document. As a political movement on the rise, the Platform for Progress feels a responsibility, but also a need, to direct its knowledge towards creating a quality solution that will benefit all citizens of Mostar.
