Mountaineer Mazalović after visiting Mont Blanc: Now I am sure that BiH has the most beautiful mountains in Europe

A group of mountaineers from the Sarajevo Mountaineering Sports Association "Zlatni ljiljan" conquered the highest peak of the Alps - Mont Blanc, 4,810 meters high. The expedition lasted from July 28 to August 2.

One of the members of the BiH expedition, Rizo Mazalović, told the Patria news agency that it was an unforgettable experience. He returned to BiH with many impressions.

- Eleven members of the expedition managed to reach the very summit. A few of us had to stay in one part due to the severe weather that caught us. For the next two days, snow fell, exceeding a meter in height – says Mazalović about his experiences on one of the most famous mountains in the world, visited annually by thousands of mountaineers and alpinists.

Mazalović carries memories from France, but also a message that the mountains in Bosnia and Herzegovina are just as beautiful, perhaps even more beautiful than the French Mont Blanc.

- I am sure that BiH has a huge potential, perhaps even better than many European countries. Our mountains are more beautiful, more attractive... If our authorities invested in infrastructure, we would very quickly be at the forefront of European mountain tourism – says Mazalović.

The BiH expedition that visited Mont Blanc consisted of: Zakir Šogolj, Sulejman Bašalija, Izet Mušanović, Mirsad Džekman, Haris Sirčić, Nijaz Ferhatović, Mernis Obuća, Emina Brkanić, Jasmin Kurtović, Mustafa Mujo Čutahija, Rizo Mazalović, Samir Delibegović, Tatjana Ivanović, Enver Ćorović, and Lasić Muharem, writes Patria.
