Pedestrian bridge near OBI soon to be operational

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Works on the pedestrian bridge intended to connect the two banks, specifically a part of Ilidža and the industrial zone near OBI, have been completed. Only small final works and the installation of lights remain, announced the Ilidža Municipality.

The contractor is the company Porobić d.o.o, and the subcontractor is Pont d.o.o. Supervision was carried out by the company In, and the project is financed by the Ilidža Municipality. The total length of the bridge is 92.65 meters, and the width is variable, ranging from 5.26 to 5.30 meters.

With the construction of the pedestrian bridge, the idea of merging the old concept of a Roman bridge with new ideas and principles of construction and bridge design has been realized. In the railing area, the installation of LED linear lighting and LED reflectors is planned, as well as lighting below and above the structure. The installation of concrete planters along the entire pedestrian path with integrated seating benches is also planned.
