Pivić: We conducted the election process transparently

(Patria) - The session of the SDA Main Board attracted great media attention, and Nezir Pivić, president of the SDA Election Commission, spoke about the nomination process for the upcoming Congress on October 14.

He stated that every local branch could nominate its candidate.

"The entire election process was conducted in accordance with the statute. We checked the applications at the end, and we had certain appeals. We sent these objections to those to whom the objections relate," said Pivić.

He added that it was a transparent process.

"A maximally transparent process, I can state that out of a total of 15 regional and cantonal boards, 15 nominated Bakir Izetbegović for president. So, one hundred percent. We did not have a single nomination for Mehmedović".

"Out of the total number of proposals from municipal organizations, 95 proposals were for Izetbegović, and eight in total for Mehmedović. Izetbegović is the only one who met the conditions to be a candidate."

The current political situation will be discussed at today's session of the Main Board, and the rapporteur is the president of the SDA, Bakir Izetbegović.
