Nezir Pivić, a delegate of the Party of Democratic Action in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated in the FTV program Rezime that we will witness a new Government of the ZDK in the coming days.
„That is certain. The current Prime Minister will certainly not remain. I believe there are new actors in play. The SDA and the partners that will be there. Certain negotiations are in progress," said Pivić.
When asked whether a government will be formed in the HNK in a way that it will consist of HDZ, SDA, and SDP, he said: „I cannot speak on behalf of colleagues in the HNK, the situation changes from day to day, but it is high time to form a government in the HNK."
Speaking about the upcoming SDA Congress and whether it is good for the party to have only one candidate for president, he emphasized that a large number of the membership itself participated in the delegation, and, as he states, it can be said that the democratic standard in terms of internal party elections, especially compared to other parties, has come to the fore.
„When we talk about the SDA Congress, this process of internal party elections started earlier, because there is a lot of work to prepare the Congress itself. All municipal organizations in BiH were involved here. Local committees also had the right to propose a candidate. According to what we have established, Izetbegović received support from all 15 regional and cantonal committees, and 95 municipal or city organizations, while Mehmedović received eight proposals from municipal organizations. There were also certain proposals that were not accepted."
He also explained why Mehmedović's candidacy was rejected.
„In the public space, there is certain information that is not correct. I am sorry that Mehmedović did not agree to come to the studio so we could jointly clarify everything he complained about in public. Here, you cannot be a candidate yourself in the sense of nominating yourself, because the electoral process is very clear. Municipal organizations propose a specific candidate, whether he will ultimately have a sufficient number of candidacies for the electoral commission to verify his candidacy, that is a matter for the entities that propose, and those are municipal, cantonal, city organizations or members of the Main Board who have the right to propose a candidate for president. Mehmedović proposed himself. That is not in accordance with the rules. He had the support of eight organizations that proposed him. A minimum of 15 municipal organizations were needed to propose him for the candidacy to be verified. This entire process, if he had nominated himself, sent lists, he as a candidate should not have come to the proposals sent from the field. Those candidacies are not sent to the candidates, they are sent to the electoral commission."
He adds that there were incorrect statements by Mehmedović in public which, as he says, affected the dignity of the electoral commission, and even the personal dignity of its members.
"Certain candidacies are something that party bodies will deal with. We also have certain forgeries, false representation… In certain candidacies, we have proposals for Mehmedović from virtually non-existent bodies, which are not in this mandate period, certain municipal organizations, constituted. People who are not party members signed, they are not in the records. Those persons falsely represent themselves as presidents of municipal organizations. We cannot accept such candidacies. He refers to candidacies that are a certain forgery. There is room here for a certain criminal offense."
