Pivić: SDA will not go into opposition in Zenica-Doboj Canton, the Government is working perfectly

(Patria) - We have a very stable majority in the Zenica-Doboj Canton Assembly. SDA will not go into opposition even if the "Šestorka" coalition (which would consist of the Trojka parties, plus NES, Naprijed, and BHI-Kasumović Fuad) is formalized, stated the Prime Minister of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Nezir Pivić, as a guest on the show Dan uživo on N1.

He commented on the statement by the mayor of Zenica, Fuad Kasumović, from February, when he said that the current Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton had "its time run out" and his statement from two days ago that he had the votes to dismiss it.

- When a person like Kasumović speaks, his word carries no weight. We have a very stable majority in the Assembly of Zenica-Doboj Canton. Kasumović and the SDP are a minority, the Government is working perfectly, which is evidenced by the fact that we have made almost all decisions unanimously - said Pivić.

In the event that the mentioned "Šestorka" coalition is formed, the question from the show host was - will SDA in Zenica-Doboj Canton go into opposition?

- Not even in that case, because the Government in this composition functions without the Trojka parties, HDZ, or BHI - Pivić was clear.

He also spoke about the request of the Association of War Veterans of Zenica-Doboj Canton for the dismissal of the Minister for Veterans' Affairs, Adnan Sirovice.

- They have a misunderstanding regarding the application of regulations, but I think the problem no longer exists. We had a meeting with representatives of the veteran population earlier, our allocations are increasing every year.

Of course, some problems arise, but it has never been serious enough to talk about dismissing ministers - stated Pivić.

He also touched upon the issues concerning the announced construction of the new Zenica hospital.

- Unfortunately, the problem is, we are talking about a megaproject, that the City of Zenica, by a Supreme Court ruling, gained ownership of the Cantonal Hospital. Why did they feel the need to register as owners?

As legalists, we respect the verdict and are forced to negotiate with the mayor. The impression is that he does not want to resolve this issue for political reasons - says Pivić.

The host also asked him to comment on Mayor Kasumović's claims that the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton does not have 16 million for the location, let alone money for the hospital construction, and that the debt of Zenica-Doboj Canton is 700 million KM.

- We have more than enough money. We were ready to pay that amount of 16 million just to start the realization of such an important project, but he is doing it in a way that does not comply with legal regulations.

It is absolutely untrue that the debt of Zenica-Doboj Canton is 700 million. He makes such bombastic statements - concluded Pivić.
