Pivić discussed with the newly elected leadership of SGV

(Patria) - Prime Minister of Zenica-Doboj Canton Nezir Pivić spoke today with a delegation of the newly elected leadership of the organization Serb Civic Council - Movement for Equality of BiH (SGV), led by president Mladen Pandurević.

The delegation also included Sretko Radišić, vice-president and long-time activist of SGV from Zenica, Denis Vasić, secretary of the Management Board, and Mladen Simić, representative in the Assembly of Zenica-Doboj Canton and delegate in the House of Peoples of the Parliament of FBiH.

Representatives of SGV, which celebrated 30 years of operation this year, informed Prime Minister Pivić about their work, projects, and planned activities to promote multi-ethnic tolerance and equality, as well as the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms of all citizens, and the position of the Serb returnee population in FBiH.

They stated that Serb returnees in the Zenica-Doboj Canton, as well as in the rest of the Federation of BiH, do not have security problems, but that work must continue on resolving the existential issues of returnees.

Prime Minister Pivić said that the issue of security for returnees, as well as for all citizens, is one of the highest priorities of the institutions of this canton and that the Government is trying to improve living conditions for returnees through concrete measures and significant financial resources.

He confirmed the commitment of the institutions to support concrete activities of SGV in improving the lives of returnees, as well as activities to promote multi-ethnic tolerance and equality of all citizens of BiH.
