Letter to Canadian PM Trudeau: Dodik must finally be stopped and sanctioned

(Patria) - Emir Ramić, Director of the Institute for Research of Genocide from Canada, sent a letter to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau regarding the decision of representatives of the BiH entity RS to boycott state institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"The multi-year anti-Bosnian, anti-European and anti-civilizational, and therefore anti-Canadian campaign of Milorad Dodik, member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, must finally be stopped and sanctioned. On behalf of the International Expert Team of the Institute for Research of Genocide, Canada, we demand that Canada sanction and stop Milorad Dodik, the main generator of the destruction of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as his allies from the ruling and opposition parties of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity Republika Srpska, who continuously produce fear, hatred, and insecurity. With their anti-state actions, they are blocking Bosnia and Herzegovina's, European, and NATO integrations.

The attack by member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik on the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina due to this court's decision that the exclusive jurisdiction of Bosnia and Herzegovina in regulating state property issues is contrary to fundamental and universal human rights and freedoms and values of human dignity, and deserves all condemnation. The decision of the ruling and opposition parties of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity Republika Srpska to block state institutions is fundamentally unacceptable and an insult to every citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The anti-state move by the ruling and opposition parties in the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity Republika Srpska is unprecedented in the functioning of legal and democratic states. Disrespecting the rule of law, disrespecting the decisions of the Constitutional Court, is a dangerous violation of European and Canadian values and legal heritage, which dangerously deepens the crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is the continuous goal of the ruling and opposition parties in the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity Republika Srpska.

This is the most dangerous practice since the end of the armed part of the aggression and genocide, which threatens the stability of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and political subjectivity. The stability of the region and Europe is also threatened, and all of Canada's past activities regarding the better future of Bosnia and Herzegovina are humiliated. Young generations who do not have their own experience of the time of aggression and genocide can become victims of the continuous anti-Bosnian activities of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity Republika Srpska. This must be prevented by decisive action.

Given the above, we call on you to respond to these serious threats to peace and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the region, with concrete and decisive measures. We call on Canada, as a member of the Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina, to demand that all members immediately address these dangerous threats to the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Canada, as one of the world leaders in the field of human rights and freedoms and as a country that has previously called on all political actors in Bosnia and Herzegovina to respect the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has a historical duty to oppose the endangerment of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina using all democratic means," the letter states.
