Pilav: Epidemiological and other health surveillance measures strengthened in FBiH

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - "Given the epidemiological situation in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, epidemiological and all other necessary health surveillance measures have been strengthened, in order to find cases according to the case definition, provide adequate healthcare to the sick, while limiting the spread of the virus and minimizing human-to-human transmission in the FBiH," stated Aida Pilav, president of the Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health of Sarajevo Canton.

The statement from the KS Crisis Staff reminds that last night the analysis results of samples for three individuals from Sarajevo Canton who tested positive for the new Coronavirus (COVID-2019) arrived.

These are epidemiologically linked cases to an already confirmed case of COVID patients in Konjic.

The individuals have been in self-isolation and under the supervision of epidemiologists from the KS Public Health Institute for the past five days, the KS Crisis Staff reminds.

After indications for testing were determined by epidemiologists, laboratory testing was performed at the Institute of Microbiology of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo.

These are mild clinical pictures and the patients will be released for home treatment.
