Petrov in Mostar on the third entity: Sit at the table and come to an agreement yourselves

Asked by journalists in Mostar today whether he supports the establishment of a third entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, Božo Petrov, said he would not start a polemic. The reason for his visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina is „a friendly visit in the first place, a partnership visit.“

- Our wish is for Bosnia and Herzegovina to take a step forward on the European path, for the political representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina to find an appropriate model in which all three constituent peoples will be, in the full sense, equal. What that model will be is up to them. We are not a state that believes Bosnia and Herzegovina should be anyone's protectorate. The three constituent peoples can find a solution, sit at the table and come to an agreement, so that they do not need regional players to create a quality future. We will always be partners and friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We will not fall for any other provocations - Petrov said, as reported by N1, NAP reports.

From the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina yesterday it was announced that during a meeting with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Zvizdić, in Sarajevo, Petrov said that „Croatia respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the equality of the three constituent peoples, but also that it does not support the creation of an additional entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina.“

From Most shortly afterwards they denied the announcement from the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina. From this party they claim that the conversation in Sarajevo was very constructive, but that Petrov at no point declared himself for or against the third entity, since that was not the focus of the conversation.

Soon there was a reaction from the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well. They assure that they discussed the third entity with Petrov in front of several witnesses.

The Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Croatia, Božo Petrov, as part of an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, is in Mostar today where he met with the Rector of the University, Ljerk Ostojić, the Bishop of Mostar-Duvno, Ratko Perić, and visited the Franciscan monastery and the University Hospital, Patria reports.
