Fifth Ballet Fest Sarajevo starts on September 19, with a rich program prepared

The Fifth Ballet Fest Sarajevo will be held from September 19 to 27, 2014, and has already become a respectable and recognizable event whose primary goal is the popularization of ballet art – fully achieved. Edina Papo, artistic director of the Ballet, said that tickets for ballet performances are always in high demand, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

- The sound of ballet slippers on the spotlight-lit stage in a packed National Theatre hall, that so-called ballet magic performed by the greatest ballet stars and leading names in contemporary ballet choreography, is what can best provide the audience with a unique experience of ballet and ballet art – says Papo.

Ballet Fest is an opportunity to increase the public's interest in ballet art in BiH.

- The mission of Ballet Fest Sarajevo is to showcase the unique ballet art in the best light through European and Bosnian-Herzegovinian ballet, to give everyone the opportunity to discover the unique world of professionalism, as well as the chance to gain an exciting experience that the eternal art and beauty of ballet provides – states Papo.

During the nine festival days, there will be ballet performances, flamenco workshops with dancer and choreographer David Coria, as well as an exhibition of sketches and costumes by Amna Kunovac – Zekić.
