Pervan and Gušo are creating new generations of goalkeepers

Adnan Pervan and Adnan Gušo, two former excellent goalkeepers, have finally put their idea of opening a goalkeeper academy into practice, and for a month now, there has officially been the "Goalkeeper School 1", which currently has 53 boys aged five to 18, writes the Patria News Agency.

- We have existed for a year within the Lokom football school, but now we have formed our own association and are working separately, exclusively with goalkeepers. We have fantastic conditions and excellent cooperation with JP Lokom as well as with other football schools. We are proud of what we do, because our primary goal is to keep children off the streets - says Pervan.

Their training ground is the grass field in Otoka, as well as a dome for the younger children, and they have also created a sandpit, and anyone who understands the goalkeeper craft knows what sand means for a goalkeeper.

- We are trying to provide the best possible conditions so that our goalkeepers feel as comfortable as possible and achieve the best results. In my humble opinion, Gušo, a former national team player and member of Željezničar, and I, a former goalkeeper of Sarajevo, have something to pass on to the new generations - added Pervan, stating that goalkeepers are not trained adequately in Sarajevo.
- Adnan Gušo is a coach in the youth selections of BiH, and we know how we trained in our careers, and therefore we are trying to pass on our knowledge to the children - added Pervan.

Goalkeepers train every day, divided into different categories depending on their age.

- Believe me, it's a grueling job, and we do it out of enthusiasm, and we believe we have something to pass on to these children. We are very pleased that we also have children from Republika Srpska. We have many talents, and we are not naming names, but there are exceptional talents in our school. We first give children the opportunity to try for two or three training sessions, and if the child is interested and has talent, they stay with us - explains Pervan, emphasizing that he and Gušo are not involved in management and have no plans to do so.
- We are open to cooperation, but parents choose where their children will continue their careers - added Pervan.

Esad Ibrahimović and Dado Miličević often come to help Gušo and Pervan, and they also pass on their knowledge to future generations.

- Gušo and I are different types of goalkeepers, and we form a great whole. This means that children learn differently from us, but when they combine these two experiences, they get what is best for them - added Pervan.

Incidentally, for the needs of night training, Gušo and Pervan have acquired floodlights, so children train without interruption even at night.
