The day after our team gathered in Cyprus, there is a lot of work and obligations for the professional staff. Assistant coach Dragan Perić talks about the primary tasks and points out that the long journey has taken its toll, so they have been thinking about how to bring the players into optimal form for the match.
- Our main goal is to ensure freshness in these few training sessions while keeping the players in optimal form, which should be at its peak during the match itself. For players who have played a lot, we try to rest them, while those with less playing time receive training to maintain their current form - says Perić.
Regardless of playing two consecutive matches, the professional staff is currently only thinking about Cyprus.
- We fully respect, acknowledge, and value the opponent, but we have faith in ourselves and our quality. I hope that with this approach and attitude from the footballers, everything will go as we wish, which is, of course, three points - added Perić.
According to Perić, our team's play will be based on "imposing our style of play from the start, showing maximum fighting spirit, and trying to outrun the opponent.
We have much better individual qualities, which is our advantage, and I have no doubt that we will achieve everything we have set out to do."
