Pensioners from abroad can give up part of their pension to help BiH

The Federal Pension and Disability Insurance Fund has also joined the aid for endangered people from flood-affected areas in BiH, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

As confirmed for NAP by the spokesperson of the Federal Pension and Disability Insurance Fund (FZ MIO-PIO) Amel Lizde, it is enough for pensioners living outside BiH to give their consent to FZ MIO-PIO on how much money they wish to donate, and their May pension, which will be paid in June, will be reduced by that amount.

- The goal of the campaign is to secure financial resources that will be sent to the poorest members of the pensioner population who suffered the most in the floods, after its completion – said Lizde. This campaign was organized by the Federal Pension and Disability Insurance Fund in cooperation with the Union of Pensioners' Associations of FBiH and cantonal pensioners' associations.

As Patria previously wrote, in March 2014, FZ MIO-PIO paid pensions to 54,507 pensioners living outside the Federation of BiH. The total amount of money that FZ MIO-PIO pays to pensioners living outside the FBiH for the month of March amounted to 12,410,310 KM.
