Pensioners face Eid hungry: Not all pensions paid out yet!

The payment of pensions for the month of June began on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, but today, on the eve of the biggest Muslim holiday, Eid, not all pensioners in FBiH have received their pensions, writes the Patria news agency.

Several pensioners have contacted our newsroom claiming that their pensions have not been paid, and that the postman informed them that there was simply no money. Otherwise, pensioners in FBiH will not give up their demands for pension increases this year and continue to insist on the payment of pensions by the 5th of the month.

But today is the 16th, and not all pensions have been distributed. Omer Omerefendić, president of the Pensioners' Association of FBiH, had previously announced that large protests by this population would follow in Sarajevo, Tuzla, Zenica, and other major cities.

Pensions calculated based on the coefficient of 1.816 have been determined, but not all have been paid out according to this coefficient, which means that the amounts of the lowest, guaranteed, and highest pensions remain unchanged. Accordingly, the lowest pension is 326.17 KM, the guaranteed pension is 434.90 KM, while the highest pension is 2,174.48 KM.

The total funds required for the payment of pensions for June, including costs, amount to approximately 156 million KM.
