PDP asks where the money is: Six million spent on unknown professional services

PDP expects all competent institutions of Republika Srpska to consider the following affair and spending of public money based on serious claims and facts that have caused enormous damage to the interests of Republika Srpska, the PDP stated, as reported by the Patria news agency.

We also expect a review of the responsibility of individuals who produced such harmful effects as a result of unconstitutional, illegal, corrupt, irrational, irresponsible and nepotistic behavior.

What are the effects and for what purposes were the funds of the Ministry of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation of Republika Srpska spent from the budget line „spending unit 412700 – expenditures for professional services“ in 2011 in the amount of 6,002,000 KM?

This amount was paid from the Budget of Republika Srpska for 2011, which was adopted in December 2010, and it is still not known, more precisely – the official inquiry of the parliamentary committee about where this money was spent and for what purposes has never been answered.

The Committee for European Integration and Regional Cooperation of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska adopted on December 26, 2014, before the discussion on the budget for 2015, a unanimous conclusion (voted for by committee members from both the ruling and opposition parties) requesting detailed information from the Government of Republika Srpska on the spending of the money.

More precisely, the Government is asked for information on the expenditure of funds from this spending unit within the Ministry of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation of Republika Srpska for the period 2010-2014, for each payment individually.

According to the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, the Government is obliged to send an official response to a deputy's question and a committee request within 15 days, but no response arrived. For this reason, the Committee sent a reminder on March 16 this year requesting a response, but no response has arrived to this day, the PDP statement reads.
