PDP rejected Dodik and confirmed participation in the Local Elections

(Patria) - The Party of Democratic Progress (PDP) has made a decision to participate in the elections and will have councillor lists in the vast majority of municipalities in Republika Srpska, as well as in several in FBiH.

- We will have candidates for mayors and heads of municipalities in Banja Luka, Kotor Varoš, Bosanski Novi, Višegrad, Kalinovik, and there is an intention and a high probability that we will propose a candidate for mayor of Doboj and several other municipalities in Republika Srpska.

As for FBiH, there is a high probability that we will propose a candidate for the head of the Municipality of Bosansko Grahovo - said the President of the Main Board of PDP, Siniša Golić, after the session of that body held today in Bijeljina.

According to him, a decision was also made on forming an election headquarters, and the decision on cooperation with PUP RS in all municipalities and cities where this party operates was verified.

Golić emphasized that the Declaration on Local Self-Government, adopted at the PDP Assembly, will be the programmatic basis that all PDP candidates are obliged to implement.

The Secretary General of PDP, Nenad Vuković, says that the Main Board supported the decision that PDP will not attend the meeting convened by the ruling coalition regarding non-participation in the elections.

- I am very pleased that there is an undivided opinion in the Main Board that the party leadership did an excellent job by reacting immediately and categorically rejecting the invitation to the meeting.

This confirms that we will not participate in the political games of SNSD and their partners regarding electoral legislation.

We expect the public to finally see what games Dodik and SNSD are orchestrating in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska and the BiH Parliament, where they have been rejecting all proposals for changes to electoral legislation for years and preventing us from having fair and honest elections.

It is solely their fault that they prevented the adoption of the integrity package concerning the Election Law of BiH, produced the crisis, and brought us to this position - says Vuković.

He adds that it has been established once again that the proposal for the Election Law of Republika Srpska is just a farce intended for single use, in the function of false Serb nationalism and patriotism.

- We expect that at the Local Elections, due to all these failed laws and conclusions, SNSD will be punished, that people who have previously given them their trust will reject those policies and say enough lies, deception, humiliation, and turn to political options from the opposition, primarily PDP - adds Vuković.

He also points out that PDP specifically rejects the claims of Srđan Amidžić, Secretary General of SNSD, who, in a politically very corrupt manner, introduced the thesis that the opposition is arranging with Bosniak political parties to "hand over" power in the municipalities of Srebrenica, Prijedor, and Doboj.

- We have seen all sorts of things from SNSD in the last twenty years when it comes to creating false narratives towards the opposition: from Soros mercenaries, British collaborators, traitors, but this now is the peak and a very corrupt statement.

We have no agreement with Bosniak political parties, and those who are making agreements with them today are precisely SNSD.

They are the ones who, until a year and a half ago, were in coalition with SDA, they also formed coalitions with them in some municipalities and cities, and now they are also forming coalitions with Bosniak political parties, the so-called Trojka, with whom they communicate and negotiate on a daily basis - stated Vuković.
