PDP does not support the replacement of foreign judges according to the proposal of SNSD and HDZ BiH

EAST SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Party of Democratic Progress (PDP) will not support the Bill on the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina without foreign judges, which was submitted to the parliamentary procedure by SNSD and HDZ, decided the Main Board of PDP, which was held today in East Sarajevo.

Deputy President of PDP, Nenad Vuković, stated that PDP remains committed to the position agreed upon at the meeting of parties headquartered in Republika Srpska, that foreign judges be replaced in a way that one domestic judge is proposed by the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, and the remaining two by the Parliament of the Federation of BiH (FBiH). The proposal of SNSD and HDZ is that the Presidency of BiH and the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament elect the three judges.

Regarding the dismissal of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) of BiH, Vuković stated that the Main Board of PDP reiterated that the judiciary is the "cancerous wound" of society in BiH and that no one should be protected.

The Main Board of PDP today adopted the position that the opposition should participate in the upcoming local elections with as many joint candidates as possible.
