PD 'Bjelašnica': Let's renew and restore the glory of Bjelašnica's hiking trails

(Patria) - The Mountaineering Society "Bjelašnica" from Sarajevo will organize an action from May 1st to 5th to clear, mark (re-mark), and signpost several hiking trails on Bjelašnica. Participants of this action will be rewarded by the organizer with an overnight stay at the Stanari Mountaineering Lodge.

Marking of trails is planned on the routes Stanari-Sitnik-Observatory; Stanari-Hranisava-Klanac-Krvavac; Stanari-Karamustafini čairi-Igman; Stanari-Sitnik-Lokvanjsko jezero-Velika Vlahinja. Re-marking of trails leading to Bjelašnica, from the direction of Pazarić and from the direction of Umoljani, will also be carried out.

As announced, PD "Bjelašnica" will provide the necessary materials for this action, specifically paints, brushes, and other items for marking trails, as well as tools for clearing sections of hiking trails overgrown with vegetation. Participation in this action is for the benefit of all hikers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as those coming from abroad to hike Bjelašnica.

- It is up to us hikers to respond to this action and do something good for our Bjelašnica, but also for ourselves, because we walk these trails and they need to be marked well to make them safer for everyone who decides to hike the vast wilderness of Bjelašnica - state PD "Bjelašnica".

The organizer has provided accommodation at the "Stanari" Mountaineering Lodge for all participants of this action. If a larger number of participants than the lodge's capacity respond, other mountaineering facilities are available.
