Beekeepers from the Canton of Sarajevo will hold the founding assembly of the Association of Beekeepers of Sarajevo Canton on Saturday, which will be the umbrella organization for beekeepers and producers of bee products in the canton.
The local beekeeping associations from Ilijaš, Vogošća, Ilidža, and Hadžići are currently joining the Association, and the possibility will be left for local beekeeping associations from other Sarajevo municipalities to join as well.
Beekeepers explain that the umbrella organization of beekeepers in the Canton of Sarajevo will fight for the protection of bees in this area, for better incentives for beekeepers, for the creation of local laws, and will fight for stricter and better protection of the health of bee colonies, and for the education of beekeepers.
The founding assembly of the Association of Beekeepers of Sarajevo Canton will be held in the multimedia hall of the Igman cinema in Ilidža at 6 PM, writes NAP.
