Pašukan: Lutrija BiH to close all branches in Zenica

Lutrija Bosne i Hercegovine will close all branches in the City of Zenica, after the City Council increased fees for gambling organizers from 2,500 to 50,000 KM annually, per payment point.
This was confirmed to the Patria news agency by the director of Lutrija BiH, Edhem Pašukan.

The Mayor of Zenica, Fuad Kasumović, proposed, and the City Council supported by a majority vote, the Decision to increase fees for gambling organizers in Zenica up to 50,000 KM annually per payment point. Kasumović believes that such a decision is correct and will bring more money into the city treasury.
Organizers, however, are protesting the decision. They say there will be less money in the city treasury. They consider it a huge fee and a decision contrary to the Constitution of the FBiH. Private organizers have already announced that they will close about 100 branches in the Zenica area, and the same news came from Lutrija BiH.

- Lutrija BiH will close all ten branches as of January 1, 2017. Three payment points will remain open until January 31 to honor obligations for winnings from classic games – said Pašukan.

- This is a decision of the management of Lutrija BiH. Any further operation in Zenica would not be economically justified – added Pašukan, writes Patria.
