Pašović: Pape made history as a player and a great coach

Prominent BiH director Haris Pašović wrote on his Facebook profile about how he sees the BiH national team and coach Safet Sušić after their performance at the World Cup so far. Specifically, Pašović, likely angered by the fact that yesterday some considered the BiH Dragons both heroes and "villains", left a clear comment.

- Thank you to Safet Sušić and the national team players for the greatest success in the history of Bosnian-Herzegovinian football! Thank you for making us a part of the world by qualifying for the World Cup, for giving us days of excitement and joy, and for restoring our hope that we can become a normal country! After twenty years of agony in BiH football, BiH now exists in the football world and earns respect. Pape succeeded in the impossible – to create a good national team out of the hopeless chaos in Bosnian football. He and the extraordinary players made us climb out of the pit we were struggling in. Pape made history twice in BiH – the first time as a great player, the second time as a great coach. It is wonderful to be his contemporary. I am proud – wrote Pašović.

We remind you that BiH has played two matches so far at its first World Cup. The first was against Argentina, which we lost by a minimal difference of 2:1, although we managed to outplay them. Yesterday, the second match was against Nigeria, which we lost 1:0. For our Dragons, one more match against Iran remains on Wednesday, June 25th, in Salvador, after which this football spectacle will be over for them, writes Patria.
