Pašalić to receive award from French authorities: This is also a success for BiH

Bosnia and Herzegovina has many public figures who are recipients of various international awards, but such people are not sufficiently utilized for the promotion of our country, warned Jasmina Pašalić for the BiH news agency Patria (NAP), president of the "Sarajevo Heart of Europe" foundation and former BiH Ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

- Although, I am sure, people with such an important international rating should not wait for someone to pull them by the sleeve, they should themselves get involved in promoting Bosnia and Herzegovina - Pašalić added.

The Ambassador of France to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Roland Gilles, will present her with the award of Knight of the Legion of Honour tomorrow. With this award, the French authorities, as they stated, wish to recognize a prominent Francophone figure from Bosnia and Herzegovina, a long-time friend of France.

- This recognition means a lot to me. I will proudly share it with my friends - Pašalić told Patria.

- The recognition also means a lot to the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina itself. Because, recognition of individuals is a step towards establishing good relations between states at the level of high politics. Bosnia and Herzegovina should now continue to nurture the French language, culture, and be maximally active in the field of Francophonie (an international organization representing a group of states, countries, and regions that use French as a national language, official language, language of international communication, and as a working language). - said Pašalić, writes NAP.
