Parliamentary calendar empty, session of the Council of Ministers of BiH on January 11 but still without an agenda

(Patria) - The state of BiH and its institutions entered 2024 with interim financing, and the Proposal for the Budget of Institutions and International Obligations for this year has still not been finalized, nor is it known when it could come before the Council of Ministers of BiH.

There are no announcements in the parliamentary calendar for holding sessions of the House of Representatives or the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, nor of commissions or other parliamentary committees.

Although at the end of 2023, the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH adopted amendments to the Election Law proposed by the SDA, and it was sent to the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH under an urgent procedure, no session has been scheduled yet.

If sessions are held, they will not be scheduled before the second half of this month.

On the other hand, a session of the Council of Ministers of BiH has been announced for January 11, but the agenda is still unknown.

The presidents of the parties that make up the government at the state level should intensify talks on laws from the 14 EU priorities, among which are certainly the Law on Courts, the Law on Conflict of Interest, but also amendments to the Election Law of BiH. The working group composed of representatives of the SDP, HDZ BiH and SNSD has prepared a certain proposal for amendments, but it has not yet been presented to the public.
