MPs not working, but traveling: Špirić in Montenegro

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Deputy Chairman of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Nikola Špirić is participating in the 21st Cetinje Parliamentary Forum, which is being held today and tomorrow in Cetinje, organized by the Parliament of Montenegro.

This year's Cetinje Parliamentary Forum is dedicated to the topic „Parliament and Media – The Reality of Mutual Expectations“, on which, during the two-day conference, views and opinions will be exchanged by representatives of parliaments and media from the region, as well as representatives of non-governmental and international organizations.
Špirić, who is traveling to the conference of this regional initiative at the invitation of the President of the Parliament of Montenegro Ivan Brajović, will address the participants within the session on the responsibility of parliaments and public services in promoting a culture of political dialogue.

Although the Parliament is not working, because SNSD refuses to submit a proposal of its members for parliamentary committees, it does not bother the representatives to travel.
State parliamentarians in one four-year term spend almost one million marks from the budget on official trips, and the largest part of that amount refers to travel abroad.  

Although the BiH Parliament has not held a single session since last year's elections, that is not an obstacle for parliamentarians to visit various destinations and get to know new countries and people at the expense of the state.

That the BiH Parliament does not have to work, but that spending money is certainly intended, is also shown by the plan to spend 100,000 KM on hotel accommodation services for parliamentarians, as well as 70,000 KM on catering services for delegations and guests of the BiH Parliament.
