Parliament adopts Proposal of Law on Material Support for Families with Children in FBiH

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Proposal of Law on Material Support for Families with Children in FBiH. The FBiH Government rejected the amendments from the clubs of SDP BiH and DF, and they were not accepted in the House of Representatives of PFBiH either. The law was adopted with 68 votes in favor. 

HDZ BiH accepted the explanation of the FBiH Government and did not request a vote of the Parliament on them. 

According to this law, the child allowance will be 103 BAM for about 90,000 children annually, each month until they turn 18.

These are children from families whose income per household member does not exceed 40 percent of the lowest salary in FBiH.

This law also announced support in the amount of about 298 BAM monthly for unemployed mothers in FBiH for one year after childbirth.

The parliamentary debate on the law that announced financial consolidation and restructuring of public health institutions in FBiH has concluded.

Deputies will vote on this act after the Federal Government, as its proposer, declares itself on several amendments submitted also to this law.

Its essence is the allocation of 225 million BAM from the federal budget over the next three years to university clinical centers and cantonal and general hospitals.

According to the announcement of the FBiH Government, the goal is achieving liquidity and solvency, strengthening the quality and efficiency in providing health services, and modernizing university clinical centers, cantonal and general hospitals.
