FBiH Parliament convenes extraordinary session: Deputies take mandates and the Election and Appointment Committee is filled

An extraordinary session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament has been scheduled for Thursday at 10 a.m., prior to the regular session planned for 11 a.m.

The extraordinary session is set to include the taking of mandates by new deputies in the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, one from Our Party and two from HDZ BiH.

Also on the agenda is the filling of working bodies, primarily the Election and Appointment Committee, which is currently missing two members from the HDZ BiH.

This committee reviews all appointments and forwards them to the Parliament. This is also the case with the election of a judge to the Constitutional Court of BiH. Since the Committee is missing two members, it will first be filled at the extraordinary session, after which a committee session should be held to forward the proposal for the appointment of a constitutional judge.

It is still uncertain whether the 'trojka' parties, or at least all their deputies, will support the election of Marin Vukoja as HDZ BiH's candidate for judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH. HDZ BiH insists that the Committee send only one name, Vukoja's, while some Committee members from SDP oppose this and want to send a list of names.

Furthermore, the Committee is expected to consider the proposal received from the PDA Club, which requested the dismissal of Edin Gabel from the leadership of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament at the next session, and the appointment of Arnel Isak, an independent deputy.

Although the leaders of the 'trojka' parties held a meeting with their parliamentarians yesterday at the SDP BiH headquarters, full agreement was not reached for all 'trojka' deputies to support Isak.

Incidentally, Arnel Isak's father is the Federal Minister of Internal Affairs, Ramo Isak.
